The plugin calculates volume and density information of a STL & OBJ 3D file. Therefore, does not matter what 3d printer you use this plugin can calculate any STL file is uploaded.
Volume of a 3D Print does not change, its the density that changes depending on material. If you put the proper material that your printer can support, then you should have no issues in supporting 3D Printers that are beyond FDM.
